Event Description
An Odd Couple, Jonah and Ruth: Lessons for Our Fractured World
Beginning Thursday, October 8, please join us for a bible study on these two books from our Old Testament which will explore one of scriptures most compelling themes: God’s love for the outsider – even the enemy. During the nine-week study, participants are invited to reflect on inclusion, mercy, and the call to live out God’s steadfast love.
Jonah and Ruth offer extraordinary and very different stories—a satire and a romance—yet both reveal profound truths about God’s character and our response to others. We will explore a unified theme of inclusion, mercy, and community and come away with a richer understanding of these two biblical figures.
